We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God, guiding our faith, our character, and our work.

We believe that our calling is to love God and to love others, and that these commandments shape the way we serve mothers, families, and one another.

MEET THE HEART BEHIND DWELL
Hi, I’m Allie, a local doula, educator, and founder of Dwell.

A bridge. That’s one of the things that I most want to be likened to. I desire to be a bridge that connects women to each other; to their sisters, to resources, to Hope, to Home.
It has always been the seasons seasoned by heartache that have made the biggest impact on my life. While walking through my first pregnancy loss in August of 2021, I begged God to use it because I just couldn’t believe that it was for all for nothing - and He did. I was introduced to bereavement work by Alisha Grace and unbeknownst to me, she began praying for me begin working as a Birth and Bereavement Doula. In May of 2022, I shadowed Nicky Quick at a home birth almost two hours away from my house and experienced the most full circle moment that can only be attributed to the Lord and rest is history. I am forever grateful to the lessons learned from, with, and through Alisha, Nicky, Raymah, and Courtney.
Alisha and I began prepping, planning, and preparing our hearts to open Wildflower and Oak, Mother and Baby Doula Certification and have been certifying Birth, Postpartum, and Bereavement Doulas since 2025. Dwell was written on my heart during an exceptionally hard season when the Lord was challenging me to really address and pay attention to what I was dwelling most in.
I was dwelling in despair; dwelling in uncovering years of abuse my brain protected me from, depression, and heartbroken heartache, but even sitting in the ruins of what was, I knew that what as ahead was so much bigger than I could ever imagine. God began rebuilding me from my ruins while encouraging me to focus on the Fruit of the Spirit, step by step, all while calling me to be that encouraging, megaphone of hope while ensuring other women also felt heard, seen, known and celebrated while I found my footing in that same arena.
That’s my heart for Dwell; a community for mothers to exhale within; to feel like they’re at home during life’s most tender seasons; to be a place where rich, salt of the earth women dwell, rising to the occasion from ashes while silently straightening crowns, lifting lilted chins, and reminding each other we’re all worth it.
We are. He said so.
I love you.
PSST: I’m also a wife, mom to five arrows (three with me, two waiting at home in heaven), homeschool mom, certified K-6 teacher, and lover of all things gardening, reading, photographing, and Jesus.
