DWELL IN POSTPARTUM | EDUCATION
Knowledge changes everything.
Education really is a tool that you can use to further steady and build the foundation that you’re standing on. At Dwell, we offer two postpartum based classes that will help you identify potential needs, make executive functioning decisions before the sweet fatigue of newborn life sets in, and offer practical support for the tender goodness of the fourth trimester.
Little Dwellers
Bringing home a baby is beautiful but it can also be overwhelming. This class is designed to help you enter those first weeks with confidence, practical knowledge, and realistic expectations.
We’ll cover everything from feeding cues, to sleep patterns, diapering, bathing, soothing techniques, normal newborn behavior, infant safety, fostering connection, and so much more.
Dwell in: The Fourth Trimester
A tender, practical class designed to help families prepare for life after birth. We’ll cover healing, general newborn care, feeding, sleep, emotional wellness, relationships, and building a postpartum plan so you can enter this season with confidence and support.
DWELL IN: SAFE SLEEP, CLOSE SLEEP
We believe your baby and you were designed to safely co-sleep
Safe sleep, close sleep.
In our experience, so many mothers find themselves co-sleeping while never preparing for it; so they end up afraid to sleep while pouring themselves out for their baby. We’re changing that narrative.
Other mothers find themselves deawn to keeping their baby close through the night and many don’t know there’s a way to do it safely. This class was created for you. This is a warm, judgment free space where we talk honestly about co-sleeping: what the research actually says, what the risks are, how to reduce those risk significantly, and how to create a sleep environment that keeps your baby safe while honoring the instinct to stay near.
We don’t tell you what to do. We give you what you need to make an informed, confident decision for your family.
You’ll leave knowing:
the difference between bed-sharing, room-sharing, and co-sleeping and what the evidence says about each
The Safe Sleep Seven and how to apply them
What makes a sleep environment high-risk versus low-risk
How to talk to your pediatrician about your sleep choices
How to set up your sleep space practically and safely.
This class is for expectant and new mothers who want real information, not fear. You deserve to make this decision with knowledge in your hands and confidence in your heart, before it’s needed.
